Inua: A Story in Ice and Time is a game that focuses on the lives of three people in three different periods, Inuit beliefs, and the true story of a tragic expedition. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful polar bear named Nanarluk. Three people wanted to show how much better they were than Nanarluk, so they decided to hunt her down. But killing the bear upset the way things worked in nature. As the soul of Nanarluk, we must now get the world back to the way it should be. To do this, we change the lives of three characters, Peter, Simon, and Mystery, who live in different times more than 100 years apart.

In this book, you can find references to Inuit mythology as well as bits and pieces about real events, like the famous Franklin expedition of the 19th century, which ended in tragedy for everyone involved. By gathering different clues and hints in the game, we are also trying to find out what happened and why.

We are primarily a point-and-click adventure game where, in addition to solving puzzles, we can change things that happened in the past and see how they affect the present. There are different parts to the game. Each one is about a single place, but it shows that place at different times.

A STORY IN ICE AND TIME

Inua: A Story in Ice and Time is a point-and-click adventure game that takes you on a magical trip to the Canadian Far North. It takes place at different times and places. Meet Tana, a reporter from the present day who wants to find out what happened to the ship Terror, which was part of the Franklin expedition that went to the Arctic in the 1800s. Her fate is mysteriously linked to that of Peter, a young filmmaker covering a military expedition in the 1950s, and Simon, a sailor on the Franklin expedition who is trying to keep his crew alive. You can move through time to find out what links them. Look for ideas, put them in the minds of the characters, and lead them to Nanurluk, a mythical polar bear who lived 10,000 years ago.

ADVENTURE THROUGH TIME AND SPACE IN INUA!

Go on an adventure in the far north of Canada, travel through time, and change the present by interacting with the past. In Inua, you must figure out how space and time work to solve mysteries and help the characters get where they need to go. Move from scene to scene and period to period to find out what happened in the past and find new ideas that affect how the characters think. Help Simon, Peter, and Tana get past the problems in their way and change the way history goes.

An amazing story based on Inuit stories and legends, with help from Inuit writer Thomassie Mangiok and advisors Billy Gauthier and Monica Ittusardjuat. A game made by the people who made Bury Me, My Love, and Vignettes. The story was written by Nathalie Frassoni and Frédéric Bouvier, and Delphine Fourneau from the Klondike collective did an amazing job with the art.
